I find it amazing that the comments of the ESPN NFL show actually made me feel support for Rush Limbaugh. Supposedly the panelists Chris Berman, Tom Jackson, Steve Young and Michael Irvin kept quiet about the incident last week on purpose. They should have continued to stay quiet about it. Chris Berman is the most overrated "journalist" in the electronic media. It is disgusting that anytime race is brought in the mix of any issue, whether right or wrong, opportunists use it as a way to garner attention or self promotion. Sadly, equality is a long way from reality in this day and age. I keep thinking of that little thing called the first amendment, freedom of speech, should be used with a dash of responsibility.
The US women's soccer team was outplayed and beaten by Germany last night 3-0. This eliminates the team and probably any hope that the WUSA will be revived. I don't know, but there was that swell of fan support that carried the team last time out. The team now looks to take the gold in the 2004 Olympics in Greece.
Atlanta Thrashers Dan Snyder died from injuries incurred in a car crash 6 days ago. He was 25. Teammate Dany Heatley will face charges as he was driving the Ferrari that hit a wall at 80 mph. This is a sad situation, and our thoughts go out to Dan Snyder's family.
